The Arc is Participating in the 2024 Falmouth Road Race!

The Arc was awarded 8 bibs for the 2024 Falmouth Road Race as part of the Numbers for Nonprofits program. On Sunday, August 18th, The Arc's 8 runners participated in this historic event, which features a beautiful 7-mile seaside course through Cape Cod.

For this year's race, we had an incredible team of runners, and we are so thankful to them for their dedication. Our runners are still fundraising to support The Arc's mission, help our team reach their goals!

Being a parent is one of the most challenging and rewarding jobs you'll ever have. As an early intervention provider, I have the privilege of stepping into this journey alongside families, helping them navigate the ups and downs of raising a child, particularly one with special needs.

Our role is to support families in their homes, offering guidance, encouragement, and practical strategies to help their children achieve milestones—both big and small. Each day, we witness the pure joy and pride of parents as their children make progress, whether it's taking their first step or trying a new food after weeks of effort. These moments give us goosebumps and reaffirm why we do what we do.

We provide a range of services including occupational therapy, speech therapy, physical therapy, education, and social support. Our playgroups offer children the chance to interact with their peers and build connections, while our resources assist families in transitioning to community support and public schools. It’s magical to see a child begin to interact with others and to witness the growth that comes from these interactions.

Our work is about making connections—between families and their communities, and within their own homes. We help families set and achieve their goals, turning their dreams into reality, one baby step at a time. Seeing the pride on a parent's face as their child reaches a new milestone is incredibly rewarding.

I am committed to running this program to ensure that we continue to provide top-notch services and programs. Our goal is to give every child the best start possible, so they can thrive now and in the future.
