The Arc of the South Shore is the recent recipient of a $10,000 United HealthCare Community Grant in support of its First Early Intervention (EI) Program. The EI family-centered program provides educational and therapeutic services to children from birth to three years of age who have developmental concerns due to biological, medical, or environmental factors.
The Arc of the South Shore has announced the appointment of Elizabeth Sandblom as its new chief executive officer. In this role, she provides leadership and direction to achieve the multi-service agency’s goals and objectives. Her responsibilities include managing the executive team, overseeing business and financial operations, developing policies and programs, coordinating staff, and ensuring compliance with state, federal, and local laws and regulations.
The Arc of the South Shore is the recent recipient of a $10,000 grant from Massachusetts Charitable Mechanic Association in support of its new Pathways to Employment project.
Pathways to Employment will provide individuals with disabilities with the education and supports needed to connect to vocational training and an array of employment opportunities. The program will benefit adults with intellectual and development disabilities by helping them gain valuable job training skills.
