The Arc of the South Shore conducts background checks for all volunteers, which may include Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI), Fingerprinting, Driving History, Sexual Offender Registry Inquiry (SORI), Abuse Registry, and Office of the Attorney General’s Exclusion Database (OIG) screening and other educational or credential verification. We may perform such background checks periodically for active volunteers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and agency guidelines regarding the safety of volunteers, employees, and the individuals we serve. All CORI, Driver History, SORI, Fingerprinting and OIG screening information is confidential. These results will be shared with the volunteer whenever such results fall outside agency guidelines or at the request of the volunteer. Information contained in these background check results that falls outside of agency guidelines does not necessarily disqualify the volunteer from the position for which they have applied. I have read and understand the above Background History Request statements as it pertains to volunteers and employees of The Arc of the South Shore.
