“Frankie is the glue that holds the family together,” Roseann said of her brother who is part of The Arc’s Residential and Day Habilitation programs. Frankie, 60, has been with the Arc for 30 years. While he has been part of the Day Habilitation program for the past 30 years, the group home has been a fairly new adjustment for everyone in the family. “The group home run by Eileen is such a blessing,” Roseann said. “The staff is so professional and keeps a beautiful home. He has never lived like he does now.”

You may recognize Roseann from The Arc of the South Shore’s YouTube video, where she had nothing but great things to say about The Arc’s programs. “Me and my other brother Jimmy both have families of our own and The Arc is so understanding,” she said. “We are so thankful, the staff is great and they provide such wonderful communication. They all have such tough jobs and I just can’t say enough.”

Frankie has always enjoyed the Day Habilitaton program and all the activities that The Arc provides. “They go out to dinner and on picnics with other group homes,” Roseann said. “They do so much for him and for everyone! They go on field trips, bowling, shopping and Frankie especially loves the various art programs.”

For 30 years Roseann and her brother Jimmy have loved everything the Arc has done for their brother Frankie, who they say, they will always put first. Roseann couldn’t say enough about the care and comfort this gives everyone in their family, knowing Frankie is not only safe but also very happy. “The Arc, Day Habilitation, and group home staff are the most caring people I know,” she said. “They know everything Frankie is doing and everything he enjoys. They know him like we know him and that gives us all so much comfort
