Our chapter of The Arc is governed by a volunteer board of directors and led by key staff members.
Jill DeCarteret
Jill DeCarteret joined The Arc of the South Shore as the Director of Early Intervention in 2023, where she oversees all aspects of our Early Intervention (EI) Program. In addition to her role as Program Director, she is also a member of our Safety Committee. Jill has an extensive background in EI, spending 7 years at Kennedy-Donovan Early Intervention in Attleboro and another 7 years at Enable Inc. Early Intervention, before joining The Arc. Jill received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Framingham State University and earned her master’s degree in early intervention from Wheelock College. She is also a Certified Early Intervention Specialist (CEIS) and serves as a board member at Massachusetts Early Intervention Consortium (MEIC). As a board member for MEIC, she collaborates with members to provide information, advocacy, outreach, and support to consumers and providers for the development and appropriate delivery of care and services for children and families throughout Massachusetts. Outside of her work at The Arc, Jill enjoys the beach, kayaking, arts, crafting, and listening to music. Jill is extremely passionate about our mission and is dedicated to bettering the lives of children and families with special needs. Her passion is shown through her work and commitment to advocating for those who need it most.
