2026 Falmouth Road Race

David Beisel

A father of three kids and an avid runner, I live in Hingham. When our oldest son Henry was a toddler, Jill and I received news no parent expects: he was on the autism spectrum. We were overwhelmed and unsure where to turn. The Arc of the South Shore met us right at that moment. Through their First Early Intervention program, they helped us navigate evaluations, therapies, and the decisions that accompany an early diagnosis, providing a path forward when we needed one.

Henry is now a teenager now and thriving: a straight-A student who swims and sings in three school choruses. Running the Falmouth Road Race is my way of saying thank you, and helping to ensure the next family who receives similar news has the same place to turn we did.
