Our chapter of The Arc is governed by a volunteer board of directors and led by key staff members.
Elizabeth Jones, MA
Elizabeth Jones joined The Arc of the South Shore in 2019 as the agency's Grant Writer, and in 2023 she became the Director of Development and Communication. In 2024, she was promoted to Chief Program Officer. Elizabeth has spent the entirety of her career in the nonprofit sector and is committed to improving opportunities for disenfranchised families, children, and people with disabilities. She loves to write and is motivated by the challenge of crafting language that inspires action. She is also a proven leader who works to build cohesive, mission-oriented teams. Prior to joining The Arc, Elizabeth spent six years at Health Imperatives in Brockton and nearly eight years at Metro Housing|Boston. Elizabeth received her master's degree in sociology from Northeastern University in 2005, her bachelor's degree from Boston College in 2003, and a copyediting certificate from Emerson College in 2020. She is on the Steering Committee of the South Shore Chamber of Commerce's NPO Group and a member of Women in Development of Greater Boston. She is also a proud member of the Friends of the Ventress Memorial Library in Marshfield, where she uses her fundraising skills to benefit local residents. Elizabeth is a South Shore native and lives in Marshfield with her two daughters.
