Honor a Loved One
A memorial gift to The Arc of the South Shore adds extra meaning to special events such as winning a medal, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, retirements, thanking a colleague, or memorializing a loved one while supporting the continuance of vital programs and services to our community.
Whether it is a year-round Partnership or an event specific sponsorship, companies have the opportunity to enhance their image, introduce new products, strengthen business and shareholder relationships, as well as boost employee morale. Partnering with The Arc of the South Shore provides a secure gateway to the South Shore community.
Double or Triple Your Contribution – Employer Matching Gifts
Many companies match charitable contributions made by their employees. Ask your employer if they offer a matching gifts program (most do!) then simply obtain the form, fill out the information and send it in with your donation — we do the rest! Often times retired employees or spouses can take advantage of this method of giving a donation. A matched gift is the easiest way to increase the impact of your gift.
Fundraising events offer a way everyone can get involved to support The Arc of the South Shore. Whether you are looking for a great team building exercise or an opportunity to spend time with the family, our signature events do just that. Come out and experience one of our signature events.
Planned giving options can help you maximize the personal benefits of your charitable giving, such as providing for your family, friends and yourself while allowing you to make charitable contributions that you might have thought to be impossible.
With careful planning, it is possible to reduce or eliminate income taxes, including capital gains tax, and transfer taxes, gift, estate, inheritance and generation skipping taxes. You can enjoy these tax savings while turning appreciated assets into income for yourself and others. Planned giving is a tool that helps you achieve your goals for The Arc of the South Shore and enhance your financial plans and security.

Get involved – Become a Volunteer!
It’s not just an afternoon off from work when you help with the Arc of the South Shore community outing or on-site craft project. The Arc staff regularly needs assistance with projects and outings that typically take place on weekday afternoons. We welcome individuals and small groups of volunteers. Many employers offer their staff the opportunity to volunteer without the loss of vacation or personal time.
The Arc of the South Shore also runs a variety of recreation and leisure programs that volunteers can help with. Whether you come along for a dance and a movie with a small group of adults with developmental disabilities or help out with our Recreation programs, which serve children and adults with special needs, your assistance is important!
