ConnectAbilities Studio for the Arts incorporates the Reggio Emilia approach where children are seen as independent, competent, and capable learners. Individuals with “special needs” are seen through the lens of diversity. Inclusive activities are the most effective way to promote tolerance, patience, empathy and understanding…preparing children to become successful members of a diverse society. Projects are based on the curiosities and interests of the individuals and emerge through teacher-designed provocations, open-ended materials and discussions, inquiries, engagement and experimentation.
Cheeretta Fitness helps children and teens with disabilities to move in new and fun ways! This energetic uplifting class has many fitness benefits, although the smiles are often the best benefit of all! Individuals exercise at their own pace to strengthen both upper and lower body while listening to upbeat, energizing music.
