Autism Resource Center

Support and Networking Groups

  • Family Support Group

The Autism Resource Center offers monthly support groups for parents and caretakers of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). The support group is designed to help families better understand and cope with the many complex issues that arise by building a supportive network and sharing resources.  Groups are facilitated by an experienced professional/ASD parent and host speakers and subject matter experts  The  group is held on the fourth Monday of each month from 6 pm to 8 pm at the First Early Intervention building at 574 Main Street in Weymouth.

  • Special Care for the Special Caregiver Groups

The Autism Resource Center offers a second Caregiver Support Group that is activity-based and works to help caregivers cope with challenges, care for themselves and develop meaningful support systems with others facing similar challenges in their lives.  This support group is typically offered during school hours so that parents are able to fully focus on self-care.  On occasion, this group will also offer evening activities and events.
