Planned Giving

Planned Giving Options That Work For You

We are delighted to let you know about an exciting new partnership in which The Arc of the South Shore has entered with The Boston Foundation, the community foundation for Greater Boston.

The Boston Foundation

As a participant in The Boston Foundation’s Endowment Partners Program , The Arc of the South Shore will now be able to use The Boston Foundation’s planned giving expertise and management services to offer a full range of special planned giving arrangements to you, our valued supporters, to help you realize financial, tax and estate planning benefits while supporting The Arc.

These special giving arrangements include gifts that can provide you with a fixed stream of income for life (such as charitable remainder trusts, charitable gift annuities or The Boston Foundation’s Pooled Income Fund) as well as charitable lead trusts. The Boston Foundation will provide the exclusive management of these gifts and provide consultation services, together with gift proposals, calculations and all necessary documents. Moreover, the Foundation will not assess you or The Arc a fee for this service. The charitable portion of the gift will benefit The Arc of the South Shore outright and through a permanent endowed fund at The Boston Foundation to benefit our organization in perpetuity.

Planned gifts create opportunities for both the Arc of the South Shore and our donors. Determining what gift is right for you is just as important as making the gift. There are a myriad of easy giving options from which you can choose – from naming The Arc of the South Shore as a beneficiary in your will to a more complex trust arrangement. Ultimately, the best plan for you will balance what you wish to accomplish for yourself, your family and your charitable interests in your overall estate and financial plans.

There are a variety of plans designed to ensure a gift will be put to the best possible use and fit your financial needs and objectives.

Consider one of several opportunities outlined below as you plan your own charitable gifts:

  • Securities and Real Estate
  • Tangible Personal Property
  • Bequests (Wills)
  • Life Insurance
  • Charitable Gift Annuity
  • Charitable Remainder Trust
  • Charitable Lead Trust
