Concerned that the state's fiscal 2011 budget could further erode much-needed services for local residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities, the Arc of the South Shore is participating in a major campaign to avert what could be devastating reductions in those services.
The centerpiece of this campaign are statewide forums, dubbed "Stating Our Case - Preserving the Disability Safety Net," which will deliver to the governor and local legislators a firm message that basic services promised to the disability community cannot be curtailed.
The Arc of the South Shore, which serves ten cities and towns in and around Plymouth and Norfolk Counties, will hold our Stating Our Case Legislative Breakfast on March 12, 2010 at the Neighborhood Club of Quincy at 8:00am.
